Private label peptide MOQs and lead times, explained

How small can a first order be, and how long will it take? Here is how both work, and how to plan around them.

For qualified B2B research buyers. Research use only.

Two questions come up in almost every first call. How small can the first order be? How long will it take? This guide covers how minimum order quantities and lead times work for private label research peptides at Amino White Label, and how to size a first order that fits your budget and your sales plan.

What an MOQ is, and why private label has one

A minimum order quantity (MOQ) is the smallest amount a supplier will produce of one item. In private label work, each item carries your label. Some of the work is the same whether a run is small or large: setting up the label for that SKU, printing, and running the fill and label steps. The MOQ spreads that fixed work across enough vials to keep the per-vial cost reasonable.

Our minimum: 100 vials per SKU

Each SKU has a 100-vial minimum. A SKU is one compound at one strength under your label. Two strengths of the same compound count as two SKUs.

You can mix products in one order, and most brands launch with several. Each SKU in the order needs to meet the minimum. A launch with three SKUs therefore starts at 300 vials.

Labels are included in the quote. Freight is quoted separately. Confidential list prices are shown per vial on each product page, and your written quote confirms the total.

How to size your first order

The minimum sets the floor. How far above it to go depends on your plan. Work through these points before your brand call.

Start with the SKUs you know you can sell

A focused first order ties up less cash and storage space than a wide lineup. You can add SKUs later using the same label design.

Match stock to expected sales

Estimate monthly sales per SKU. Decide how many months of stock you want on hand. Multiply the two, then round up to at least the minimum. The inquiry form asks for expected monthly volume in ranges, so a rough estimate is enough to begin.

Plan your storage

These are temperature-sensitive research materials. Before you order, confirm you have suitable storage for the full quantity, at the condition shown on each label.

Think about label changes

If you expect to change your branding soon, keep the first run close to the minimum. Labeled products are custom to your brand and are not returnable once shipped, except where we made an error.

Common first-order mistakes

  • Ordering every strength of a compound before you know which one sells.
  • Sizing the order to the budget instead of to expected sales.
  • Forgetting freight and, for international orders, duties and customs fees.
  • Leaving no buffer for the time between placing a reorder and receiving it.

What drives lead time

Orders are filled and labeled to order. Your quote includes an estimated production and transit time. Three things shape it:

  • Products. The compounds and strengths in your order.
  • Quantities. How many vials of each SKU you order.
  • Label status. A new brand needs design and proof approval before printing. A reorder with approved label files skips that step.

Time frames are estimates, not guarantees. Production starts once the invoice is paid.

A first order, start to finish

  1. You send an inquiry with your products and expected volume.
  2. We schedule a brand call.
  3. We design your label system and send a proof.
  4. You approve the proof.
  5. You receive a quote with labels included, and approve it.
  6. You pay the invoice.
  7. We fill and label the order.
  8. The order ships from the United States with tracking.

Steps 4, 5 and 6 are in your hands. Quick feedback on the proof and prompt payment are the two biggest levers you have on total time.

Shipping time

Every order ships from the United States with a tracked carrier, and tracking is emailed when the order leaves our facility. Domestic shipping covers all 50 states. International shipping is available to most countries on request. We confirm the destination and shipping cost in your quote before you approve it. International buyers are responsible for their country's import rules and for any duties, taxes or customs fees, and customs clearance adds time. Our page on international wholesale covers the details.

Planning reorders

Once your line is selling, set a reorder point for each SKU. Take weekly sales, multiply by the number of weeks your quoted lead time covers, and add a buffer for slow weeks and delays. When stock reaches that number, reorder. Reorders use your approved label files, so they skip the design step.

Approved partners can build and submit purchase orders in the Partner Portal, where live volume pricing is shown for every product.

Changes, cancellations and returns

  • Orders can be cancelled for a full refund before production begins.
  • Once production or label printing has started, cancellation is subject to the costs already incurred.
  • Labeled products are custom to your brand and are not returnable once shipped, except where we made an error.
  • If you receive the wrong product, the wrong strength, or a label that does not match the approved proof, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We replace the affected items or issue a credit.
  • If a package arrives damaged, photograph it and contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
